Refuge

A refuge dedicated to helping individuals and families transition from crisis into purpose — through spiritual guidance, practical support, education, wellness, and community restoration.

Named for the bronze serpent of healing raised in the wilderness — Nehushtan is a place where people recover, reform, and return to their highest purpose.

The Name

A symbol of healing.
A call to return.

Nehushtan comes from the bronze serpent raised by Moses in the wilderness — a symbol of healing for all who looked upon it. Later, King Hezekiah destroyed it when people began worshipping the symbol itself rather than honoring the source of its power.

We carry this name as a covenant — to be a place of genuine healing, not a monument to itself. The Refuge exists to restore people, not to be celebrated for restoring them.

Mission

"To provide a sanctuary where people can recover, receive guidance, learn life skills, access housing, heal in every dimension, and reconnect with purpose and community."
Addiction recovery & destructive lifestyle transition
Spiritual counseling & mentorship
Life skills & financial literacy
Housing & workforce development
Physical, mental, emotional & spiritual healing

Five Divisions

Recover.
Reform.
Rise.

Five integrated programs — each addressing a different dimension of restoration. Together they form a complete ecosystem for transformation: body, mind, spirit, skill, and community.

01

Healing is the mission

Nehushtan was the bronze serpent raised for healing in the wilderness. We carry that name as a covenant — every program, every room, every garden is designed to restore what was broken and return people to wholeness.

02

Reformation, not punishment

We do not define people by their lowest moment. The Refuge is a place of transformation — structured, supportive, and rooted in the belief that every person carries the capacity for a righteous life.

03

Sovereignty through service

We equip people with land, language, trade, and truth. The goal is not dependency — it is sovereignty. Every resident leaves with skills, knowledge, and a community that will hold them accountable to their highest purpose.
